Czech Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine

Extract from CSARIM Statutes:
CSARIM is a voluntary professional and scientific organisation. It is an association of physicians, paramedics and other workers in the field of emergency medicine, anaesthesiology, intensive and resuscitation care and fields related to anaesthesia and resuscitation. CSARIM is a member organisation of the Czech Medical Society of J. E. Purkinje (CMS JEP). The Statutes of CSARIM are based on the Statutes of CMS JEP.

The professional activities of the Society include, especially :
- organisation of specialised events, as a contribution of the Society to the further education of health care workers, to the rapid spread of the latest discoveries in medical science in the field of anaesthesiology and resuscitation and their practical implementation,
- delegation of its representatives to attestation committees,
- participation in the professional and scientific activities of the Medical Chamber,
- dissemination and popularisation of scientific medical findings amongst the public,
- submission of proposals, comments and expert opinion on diagnostic and therapeutic, preventive, health education and other issues relating to the field of anaesthesiology and resuscitation,
- recommendation of representatives of the discipline as advisors to the Minister of Health; draft and amendment of policies,
- cultivation of specialised publishing activities and promotion of high standards of the publications; provision of information about the Society to its members and other interested parties,
- support of development of international relations in the field of A&R; selection of suitable representatives to attend events abroad,
- acting as adviser in insolvency proceedings,
- proposing awards of the best scientific works and lectures; proposing honours (award of medals) and honorary CMS membership,
- maintenance of close partner contacts with other societies and doctors and nurses associations,
- establishment and development of international cooperation with foreign professional societies,
- exchange of scientific experience, update training, organisation of scientific meetings, symposia.
